What Do Top Mba Programs Look At For Acceptance?
online mba program, by mba ranking.I am a junior in college and want to get my mba from a top program. I am going to work 2 years after i graduate and then apply. I am graduating with a degree in accounting and work as an accountant/bookkeeper right now. I was wondering will these schools care that i went to a community college and then went to a state college in california to get an accounting degree. I did this for financial reasons. I could have gone to better schools, but money was a big problem. I do have a 4.0 GPA so far, many awards, will be joining clubs and doing community service the next two years to make my application look better. How important is it that i went to community college and a state college rather than huge schools. Will the schools hold it against me that i did go to these schools or other things like GPA, GMAT, and work experience more important?
Thanks
I would say that in general which school(s) you went to (so long as they are accredited) will be a very small part of what will get looked at. The other matters you list will be of far greater importance.
Good luck.
So long as your school was decent and respectable, it doesn’t necessarily have to have been Stanford. You could go to a Cal State and, with your grades and etc., get into Harvard MBA.
