Among the emerging professional courses that have attracted the youngsters in the recent years, hotel management is very prominent. In 2007, the Outlook (a weekly magazine) and Cfore (a market research firm) have conducted a survey to rank the top 10 hotel management institute in India. The survey results show that the best hotel management colleges are spread over various cities in India. To rank the colleges the Outlook – Cfore researchers asked the faculty and professionals to rank the institutes in a ten point scale against four parameters.
These four parameters that they used were- faculty, pedagogic systems, infrastructure and placements. They then multiplied the average rating by the weightage in order to rank the top ten hotel management institutes in India.
