I am wanting to take the GRE and I want help in preparing for it. But I’ve looked and Kaplan and Princeton Review. Their courses cost as much as a down payment on a new car.

I’m planning on getting an MBA (dual with another degree). I wouldn’t mind going to the top schools if they were cheaper, but I’ll do it if I absolutely have to. For those who went to lower ranked schools, how do you feel now? Were you satisfied with your starting salary? Any regrets?

As previously mentioned, it depends on what you are doing with your degree. If you are getting the MBA to enhance your present career (such as get a promotion or transfer internally) then NEASC will probably cut it. If you are trying to get an entry level MBA position, a non-AACSB accredited degree will likely be treated with less weight by a selective recruiter.

It’s nice to talk tough now, but financial realities are hard to ignore. The rest of the world does it, why are we too good for it?
You people need to put down your AP History book propaganda and go out in the real world. Pick up some classifieds. Your business degree does not mean you’ll get a job or that you even know about business at all. The reason we’re in this mess is because of all the 24 year old MBA graduates that felt their degree was some sort of black belt in the markets.
Oops, good job, you’ve just crashed the American economy. This is why you don’t let young people get high positions in any company. How many of these idiot consultants were running around, telling companies and governments around the nation what to do, when they weren’t even competent enough to run a McDonald’s?
