If An Mba Program Is Only Accredited By Neasc, Is That Ok?

online mba program, by mba ranking.

As previously mentioned, it depends on what you are doing with your degree. If you are getting the MBA to enhance your present career (such as get a promotion or transfer internally) then NEASC will probably cut it. If you are trying to get an entry level MBA position, a non-AACSB accredited degree will likely be treated with less weight by a selective recruiter.

  1. It depends. Some employers will only hire out of AACSB accredited MBA programs. Intel is an example of this. Proctor and Gamble. Lots of others. So your going to a program that is not AACSB accredited may limit you, afterwards.
The trend is toward more and more employers only hiring out of AACSB accredited programs. With so many MBA programs cropping up, they use AACSB accreditation as a benchmark of quality.

  2. it depends on what you want to do but for most purposes it should be fine.
