Do Go To A Business School For An Mba, Do You Need To Have An Undergraduate Degree In Business?
MBA school, by mba ranking.
Do go to a business school for an MBA, do you need to have an undergraduate degree in Business?
Or can it be in anything else, for example Political Science or Engineering etc etc etc?

The degree does not have to be in Business but if not in Business it should be in a related field like Advertising.
The reason for this is simple. The college wants to make sure you understand the subject because many classes will have prerequisites.
For example, I majored in communications. I thought that an advertising class would look good when I got into the world and started looking for a job. However, to get into Advertising I first had to take Marketing 101.
The person with a BA or BS in Political Science or Engineering is going to need to have to take all the prerequisites before they can start
taking classes for the MBA in business. This will add extra time to how long it will take to get the MBA. I would advise that the person talk to a college councilor. Have the councilor look over what classes
you already have passed and find out what classes you still need to take as prerequisites before you can start taking the advanced MBA classes.
No, you don’t. It helps if you have some work history behind you.
